    USGBC Greater Virginia

    Understanding LEED v4 BD+C

    Join USGBC Greater Virginia for an intensive one day workshop that will provide an in-depth analysis of the new LEED v4 Building Design and Construction (BD+C) Rating System, with a focus on New Construction. A panel of Virginia sustainability leaders and LEED practitioners will guide attendees through the intent and requirements of each of the new and updated credits, including compliance strategies and what is needed for successful documentation. Attendees should leave the workshop with the confidence to implement the LEED v4 rating system on future projects.

    Instructors from the CSI Richmond Chapter will prepare the participants for the Construction Documents Technology (CDT) Exam in a fast-paced, intensive, one-day seminar. This seminar provides a comprehensive overview for anyone who writes, interprets, enforces, or manages construction documents and knowledge of CSI's recommended practices in the following subject areas:
    • The construction process
      • Construction contract types
      • Modifications and substitution procedures
    • Contractual relationships
      • Rights, duties, and responsibilities
      • Contract provisions
      • Relationship and organization of construction documents
    • Use of construction documents
      • Organizational formats
      • Interpreting construction documents
    Candidates should arrive at the session (with the CSI Project Delivery Practice Guide, CDT Workbook, and draft copy of AIA 201 document) within 15 minutes prior to the start of the event to get signed in and seated.
